What happened?

Realbotix announced its Echo social humanoid line on October 26, with limited production and delivery planned for the second half of 2027. That is a future company target, not evidence that units have shipped.

Why does it matter?

The announcement adds another planned entrant to the market for social robots. Potential buyers will need to distinguish a reservation and a company capability claim from delivered hardware, recurring costs and demonstrated real-world performance.

What happened?

Realbotix announced its Echo social humanoid line on October 26, with limited production and delivery planned for the second half of 2027. That is a future company target, not evidence that units have shipped.

The company describes tabletop and full-body forms for uses including companionship, education and wellness. Its release claims expressive faces, support for more than 100 languages and four selectable personas. The product requires an app subscription.

Eye contact, facial recognition and gaze tracking are described as part of the optional Vinci add-on, not as features included in every base unit. The announcement does not establish that every form walks or that its claimed capabilities have been independently verified.
